The Metaverse Star Chart serves as a comprehensive catalog of immersive virtual worlds—from browser-based environments to fully interactive 3D experiences—enabling users to discover new and exciting destinations. The database organizes these virtual worlds by aligning them according to shared features, such as blockchain integration, avatar systems, player demographics, population size, interoperability, and various experience types.
Role
As the author of the “immersive internet scaling model,” I envisioned a system that makes the growing number of virtual worlds searchable—honoring the vision of the immersive internet while remaining accessible on modern devices. By reimagining the internet as its own universe, we identified platforms of virtual worlds and assigned them attributes that position them within an ever-growing Metaverse of immersive experiences.
